Culinary (Food Grade) Dried Lavender is Angustifolia from the most recent harvest. Contains no camphor so has a soft and sweet flavour. 30g.
We have several varieties of lavandula angustifolia which are edible. It is important to experiment with the amount of lavender used in culinary recipes. Often less is more!
The dried angustifolia flowers can be used as a seasoning for instead of rosemary or bay leaves in many savory dishes.such as stew and casseroles. Some other examples area sprinkle of lavender on grilled or baked fish, ½ teaspoon added to poultry stuffing with fresh thyme and sage.
Served in coniments such as mustard, mint or red currant jellies with a roast pork or lamb, and a lavender honey drizzled over roast duck.
Dried lavender can be added to smoke for fish and meats.
Sweets dishes include fruits, pastries , cakes and biscuits as well as icecream and confectionery.
